Hello everyone. Welcome to my virtual kafe. This is a place to come visit, put your feet up and find useful information on midwifery in Alabama and the United States. I started it for an assignment for a class and hope you can find answers to your questions. I will be posting information to help educate you, the consumers of maternity care. I also hope it stimulates some discussion. There will be videos, websites and other blog links I think you will enjoy. I hope it will be informative and inspire you to learn all you can about this gentle philosophy of birth. I will also be posting some surveys I would like for each of you to fill out that will give me information on how you feel about the legalization of midwifery in Alabama and on midwifery in general. I would really appreciate it if you could take the time to fill one out. There are different ones. One for the general consumer and other's specific to healthcare professionals.
